It takes under 5 seconds to turn on the Coolpix 3100 until ready to use for the shot. The calculation time is when the camera is set on a Single Advance Mode, Lage image size(2048x1536), JPG Fine quality, Auto White Balance, Continuous AF on, Flash off with aLexar 512MB 24x CF card.
From one shot to the next takes about 4 seconds shot 3 times (1 sequence), and for the next sequence takes about 7 seconds to process the buffer.
Coolpix 3100 uses two AA batteries or one CR-V3 lithium battery. The use of NiMHbatteries is recommended because supply more power than alkaline, and this savesexpenses.
